In the tradition of Islamic philosophy, according to Greek philosophy and Aristotle's metaphysics, the discussion of existence as a subject of philosophy continued from Farabi and Ibn Sina with the distinction between existence and essence to Mulla Sadra. Considering the principality of existence in Ttranscendent theosophy, Mulla Sadra distinguished the reality of existence and the concept of existence and specified the rulings of each. He and his followers do not agree about the quality of communication and abstracting the concept of existence from the reality of existence. The major challenge in this field is related to the principle that most of these sages acknowledge: the principle of not attaining the reality of existence in the mind and The impossibility of taking an intelligible form of reality of existence. This problem is doubled when these sages believe that the concept of existence is self-evident on the one hand and the reality of existence is hidden from the mind on the other hand. By exploring the works of Mullasadra and the sages of transcendent theosophy, the present article found four theories in this field and then analyzed their angles and challenges with a descriptive and analytical method.
