Abstract

With the advancement of technology and its penetration into human societies, it is necessary to understand this phenomenon and its effects and accessories as much as possible. One of the issues that needs to be examined is how to evaluate technology and its consequences on human life. This research was formed with the aim of determining the criteria for valuing technology. The data of this research were collected using a library method and judged using an analytical method. Based on the achievements of this research, it should be said that on the one hand, valuation only has meaning in an optional act and in the process of realizing technology, the selection, design, construction and use of technology are determined by the voluntary act of man and only such steps that are related to the subject of technology are capable of being valued. However, the artifact of technology in itself and without comparison with human happiness, cannot be described as good or bad and, therefore, it is neutral. Therefore, since ultimate value - which has intrinsic value based on the ultimate perfection and happiness of man - is the degree of proximity that each voluntary act will bring to man towards God Almighty, in technological artifacts, the criterion for evaluating value in the voluntary acts related to it will be evaluable on this basis.
