Given the importance of the essential movement and the intrinsic transformation of the soul in Mulla Sadra's philosophy, this research examines the relationship between human voluntary actions and the intrinsic movement of the soul. The main goal is to examine the role of human will and voluntary actions in directing the path of the soul's development. The research method is explanatory-analytical. The findings show that the intrinsic movement of the human includes innate and voluntary movements; voluntary movement results from practical reason and is the basis for the growth of theoretical reason and the development of the essence of the soul. Also, considering the internal and continuous movement of the soul, the repetition of voluntary actions on the one hand causes the formation of soul properties and on the other hand, determines the path and destination of the intrinsic movement of the soul - which is the basis for the progress or fall of the existential essence of man. In fact, according to the essential movement, the human soul is always in flux and voluntary actions play a fundamental role in the voluntary direction of its movement. Therefore, a precise understanding of the role of will and voluntary actions in Mulla Sadra's philosophy can be a suitable guide for improving the quality of life and human spirituality.
